Anyone who knows us West Indians know that we know how to party. And not even a city commission is going to stop the annual Broward carnival from packing the streets with half naked Trinidadian, Jamaican, and Cuban women and men - especially after those people have paid upwards of 100 dollars to have their parts hang out of a thong.

According to a Sun Sentinal article, Miramar commissioners voted 3 to 2 against hosting the carnival at a Miramar park, meaning at least two commissioners had seen people girating and shaking their bare rumps to calypso music before, and liked the idea for Miramar.

Miami also holds its own Carnival, which was held in the streets downtown last year. Both carnivals were once collectively held at the grounds of the Opa Locka airport, but split a few years ago to form two indepedent carnival entities.

One of the biggest and most popular Carnival destinational is in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Something everyone must experience before they kick the proverbial bucket.
