Believe it or not there's a lot going on in this area every month. While South Broward doesn't have the glitz or reputation of a South Beach, there's still a little something out there for everyone.
Here are just a few things going on this month:
HOLLYWOOD: Artspark comes alive with soul, rythmn and blues 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 in the middle of Young Circle of Hollywood Blvd. and US-1. International and local artists will be showcased. The best part is it's free. For more information call 954-921-3404.
HOLLYWOOD: Looking for an 80s flashback, then look no further than "Jessie's Girl" himself Rick Springfield, Eddie Money and John Waite as they make their way to the Hard Rock Live (1 Seminole Way) 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. Tickets run $30-$60 and can be purchased at the box office or by calling 954-797-5531.
DAVIE: There's always a good rodeo in Davie and Saturday, Sept. 22 will be no different with a Pro Rodeo at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds and Entertainment Center (4201 SW 65 Way) at 8 p.m. For ticket and general info call 954-680-3555.
MIRAMAR/PEMBROKE PINES: Show off or check out the hottest cars in South Florida with the Street Machines Car Show 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Pines Recreation Center (7400 Pines Blvd.) Music, games and other entertainment will also be on tap.
